Our rich rust vintage style light has been finely upcycled and repurposed, distressed and aged to marry with a variety of popular decor. A perfect addition to any setting.. At home on a rustic farmhouse wall, a finishing touch to that bedside table, or very appropriate to place upon that antique desk in your den, or any dark nook..

CONSTRUCTION:
Our finely crafted night lights are produced using a repurposed, hand polished, commercial grade electrical box housing. The original vintage artwork has been replicated and transferred to a film substrate. The film, then carefully sandwiched between two sturdy pieces of high quality acrylic; protects and highlights the artwork. Our lights are as eye catching as they are functional.

FINISH:
**A metallic reactive paint combination has been applied to give your night light an ancient look! a rich rust patina gives your night light a decidedly vintage look. This reactive quality creates a random Patina. No two will look alike. Please expect color shift and variation. Your box will differ from the photos in this respect. Achieving the end finish is an organic process. In order to halt the natural reactive aging (finish decay) we apply a sealer which will permanently protect the finish of your box.

HISTORY:
Renaissance humanism recognized no mutually exclusive polarities between the sciences and the arts, and Leonardo's studies in science and engineering are as impressive and innovative as his artistic work. These studies were recorded in 13,000 pages of notes and drawings, which fuse art and natural philosophy (the forerunner of modern science), made and maintained daily throughout Leonardo's life and travels, as he made continual observations of the world around him.

Leonardo's writings are mostly in mirror-image cursive. The reason may have been more a practical expediency than for reasons of secrecy as is often suggested. Since Leonardo wrote with his left hand, it is probable that it was easier for him to write from right to left. His notes and drawings display an enormous range of interests and preoccupations, some as mundane as lists of groceries and people who owed him money and some as intriguing as designs for wings and shoes for walking on water. There are compositions for paintings, studies of details and drapery, studies of faces and emotions, of animals, babies, dissections, plant studies, rock formations, whirlpools, war machines, flying machines and architecture.
