Vintage Antique Steampunk Gold And Pearls Pocket Watch Pendant By Kathryne L. Wright

Starting with an antique pocket watch case in gold plate with a rich, curved crosshatch design on the back, I began the collage.

Timepieces are often a focal point to the Steampunk theme so I felt I was off to a good start. I reinforced that idea by adding a small finely enameled watch face to the interior. Black Arabic numbers, black second lines and gold dots to mark the hours where a nice base along with one crystal dead center and an hour hand over top of that with a golden yellow halo around the hand.

I ran several strings of natural freshwater pearls in white around the perimeter. Next came the tiniest brass gears.The smallest is at the one o'clock and the other three are sometimes floating around freely and other times seem to wish to stay put. The twelve o'clock position is roughly at the bottom when worn for the benefit of the wearer and is suspended by it's ring with a flat satin ribbon.
